Cambridge IGCSE Online Schooling offers flexible subject choices and emphasizes analytical skills, while Edexcel Online Schooling is more structured and options to appear for exams in modules, which is a kinder exam pattern. Both are globally recognized, and weschool helps you choose based on your child’s learning style and goals.
Three A Levels, with five IGCSEs including English and Mathematics, is the most common benchmark. UK universities base their offers on three A Levels, many ask for five GCSE or IGCSE passes including English and Maths, and the University of Toronto asks for exactly that combination. Requirements still vary by course and country, so the right number is worked out against the universities a student is aiming for.
Pearson Edexcel offers a modular route at two levels. Outside the UK, many International GCSEs — including Mathematics A, the sciences, English Language A, History and Economics — can be taken unit by unit in the November and May/June series. Pearson Edexcel International A Levels are modular too: units are sat in January, June or October, banked, and cashed in when the student is ready. The better of the two most recent attempts at a unit counts, and there is no 13-month deadline. A Cambridge International AS result, by contrast, counts towards the full A Level only if carried forward within 13 months. As Pearson Edexcel Approved Centre #95580, we plan each learner's unit entries.
In the UAE and the wider Gulf, families register their child for Pearson Edexcel or Cambridge International examinations with the British Council, which runs exam sessions locally; approved schools also accept external candidates in some cities. Pearson's remote invigilation is a paid alternative for some International GCSE and International A Level papers. We prepare the learner, help secure a local centre through Pearson as a Pearson Edexcel Approved Centre (#95580), and issue the predicted grades and references that go with university applications.
Yes, our programs are recognized by global universities for higher study admissions. Our predicted grades, mark sheets, and recommendation letters are accepted by global universities. Our students have been placed in universities like UCL London, Delft Netherlands, Georgia Tech, and the University of Pennsylvania, to name a few.
It depends on the board and the level. In Pearson Edexcel International GCSE sciences, experimental skills are assessed through written examinations. In Pearson Edexcel International A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics, practical skills are tested in dedicated written units; Pearson states there is no practical lab examination. Cambridge International AS & A Level sciences, by contrast, include a laboratory-based practical paper with no alternative, sat at an exam centre. As a Pearson Edexcel Approved Centre (#95580), we enter our online learners for Pearson's International A Level sciences directly.
