Homeschooled children have various opportunities to socialize. They can participate in mainstream sports or music, community groups, and homeschool co-ops. About weschool@catalyze
weschool@catalyze is a premium one-to-one live online school delivering Pearson Edexcel International, Cambridge CAIE, and OxfordAQA British/UK International curriculum programmes. Every student receives individual live instruction — no group classes, no video content. Admissions are diagnostic. Qualifications are primary, Lower secondary, IGCSE, AS & A level. The certificate is issued by the board — identical to any school's output. Operated by Catalyze Center for Learning, est. 2008, carrying forward 18 years of personalized education legacy. Pearson Edexcel Center #95580.
weschool@catalyze is built around the child's life — not a fixed institutional schedule. The timetable, board choice, subject combination, tutor profile, and program pace are designed around the specific child: their schedule, their learning profile, and their university destination. The school adapts to the child — not the other way around. The ultimate flexible schooling that offers the child the freedom to get qualified in international education while pursuing passions such as sport, music or project-based learning.
weschool@catalyze is a Pearson Edexcel Approved (Accredited) Examination Centre (#95580) and a registered Cambridge CAIE partner centre. Students sit internationally recognised IGCSE, IAS, IAL examinations. The certificate bears the examination board's name — identical to that of any Pearson or CAIE school worldwide.
No. weschool@catalyze offers exclusively one-to-one live instruction. Every session is one tutor and one student. This is not a tier or a premium add-on — it is the only model weschool@catalyze operates. No student shares a session with another student at any level or in any programme.
Four stages: (1) Curriculum Guidance Call and structured consultation — free, 60 mins online session with our academic advisor to understand the basic requirements, the learning history, goals, and schedule. A detailed explanation of the school's schooling process (2) Learner Diagnostic (3), Program Recommendation — board, subjects, tutor, wecounsel pathway linked to higher study planning (4), Enrolment and orientation. No student is enrolled without completing all stages.
A Curriculum Guidance Call is a free 60-minute structured conversation with a weschool@catalyze Academic Advisor. It establishes which curriculum board is right for the child, which subjects are needed for the university pathway, and whether weschool@catalyze is the right fit. It is the entry point to the diagnostic admissions process.
Lesson Zero is the mandatory diagnostic intake session — 60–90 minutes, Academic Doctor-led. It evaluates the learner across the 4-Pillar system (per topic, classifies learner type, and produces the Personalized Tutor Transformation (PTT) document. The PTT is reviewed by a Master Academic Doctor within 48 hours.
No. weschool@catalyze evaluates fit before placement. Not every enquiry becomes an enrolment. The 5-stage diagnostic process establishes whether weschool@catalyze is genuinely right for the child — and if it is not, we say so. This selectivity protects both the student and the quality of the program.
About Curriculum & Board Selection
weschool@catalyze delivers three British curriculum/UK International boards: Pearson Edexcel International (Centre #95580 — exam registration managed end-to-end), Cambridge CAIE, and Oxford International AQA. These are the three internationally recognised British examination boards. No American curriculum. No IB as a full school program is offered (American and IB are offered through Catalyze's weteach afterschool support vertical). British curriculum/UK international curriculum only — enabling genuine multi-board advisory.
CAIE (Cambridge) uses end-of-course examinations in May/June and October/November. Pearson Edexcel International uses foundation/higher tier with three exam windows (January, May/June, October for A levels). Edexcel's IAL is modular — individual units sat and re-sat independently. The right board depends on university destination, learning style, and schedule. weschool@catalyze advises through the free Curriculum Guidance Call.
Both CAIE A Level and Pearson Edexcel IAL are fully recognised by UK universities through UCAS. The specific entry requirement for your target programme — not the university name — determines which board's specification to follow. weschool@catalyze's Curriculum Guidance Call maps the exact board and subject combination for your child's target universities.
Cambridge CAIE A Level has a specific recognition advantage for competitive programmes at NUS, NTU, and SMU in Singapore. Edexcel IAL is also accepted but CAIE is the recommended board for students targeting the most competitive Singapore university programmes. weschool@catalyze advises on board selection specifically for Singapore-bound students.
Yes. weschool@catalyze offers Oxford International AQA — the third British curriculum board — in addition to Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge CAIE. OxfordAQA suits specific learner profiles where its assessment structure is a better fit. weschool@catalyze is the only British online school that advises across all three boards.
weschool@catalyze delivers all major IGCSE subjects — Mathematics (0580/4MA1), English Language and Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Business Studies, Computer Science, Geography, History, Sociology, Psychology, French, and more — across both CAIE and Pearson Edexcel specifications. Subject availability is confirmed during the Curriculum Guidance Call based on the child's program requirements. for a complete list of subjects pls visit (link curriculum pages)
IGCSE (Grade 9–10, age 14–16) is the first major British qualification — equivalent to O Level. International A Level (IAL/A Level, Grade 12–13, age 17–18) is the university entry qualification. Between them is International AS Level (IAS, Grade 11). weschool@catalyze delivers all three stages as a continuous, connected programme with wecounsel university planning integrated.
About Operational & Logistics
For Pearson Edexcel, weschool@catalyze manages examination registration end-to-end as Approved Centre #95580. Students do not need a separate exam centre for Edexcel. For Cambridge CAIE, weschool@catalyze coordinates registration through authorised partner centres. The academic coordination team manages registration, documentation, scheduling, and logistics — all included in the programme.
weschool@catalyze serves students across all major time zones — Gulf Standard Time (GST, UAE/GCC), India Standard Time (IST), Singapore Standard Time (SGT), and others. Sessions are scheduled to accommodate the student's local time and daily routine — training, school, family commitments.
TLC (The Learning Curve) is Catalyze's proprietary intelligence engine. It governs learner-tutor matching, Lesson Zero diagnostic data, progress tracking, risk prediction, and parent reporting for all weschool@catalyze students. Parents have access to a live academic dashboard showing 4-Pillar scores, gap analysis, and exam readiness. TLC is not a third-party platform — built and operated entirely by Catalyze.
After IGCSE, weschool@catalyze students continue to International AS Level (IAS) and International A Level (IAL, Pearson Edexcel) or Cambridge A Level — same programme, same Academic Doctor if appropriate, same wecounsel university pathway planning. No re-enrolment required. The academic journey from IGCSE to A Level to university application is planned as one continuous programme.
